The new Mercedes Benz E-Class 2007 is to be officially introduced at the New York auto show in April, but there are a few things already known about the new E-Class from Mercedes.

The “old” E-Class from Mercedes-Benz has suffered minor changes at the exterior: a new grille, bumper, air dam (with three openings) and headlights are a few subtle changes that constitute the facelift of this new cool car. The rear fascia doesn’t integrate the tailpipe and the reflector mix has suffered some changes.

Useless to say that the interior is as luxurious as the previous models, as Mercedes-Benz has struggled to offer a combination of sport and luxury styles. The new 2007 E-Classe will be available in two basic ranges: Sport and Luxury.

But what is important and innovative for the new E-Class 2007 from Mercedes-Benz is that the German manufacturer has decided to equipe this cool and luxurious car with the 5.5-liter V8 engine first used on the S550 sedan. Thus, This 8 cylinder engine transforms the old 2006 E-Classe E500 into the E550, more powerfull and outstanding, a very fast and cool excellent car with 382 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. With this new engine, coupled to a seven speed automatic, the 2007 Mercedes E-Classe is intended to accelerate from zero to 60 in an astonishing 5.4 seconds.

And if this isn’t fast enough, Mercedes-Benz has prepared a new model: the new 2007 E63 AMG (Wagon), equipped with a 6.3 L V8 engine and a seven speed automatic transmission. This engine provides up to 507 horsepower and makes this E-Classe model go from 0 to 60mph (100km/h) in less than 5 seconds, according to Mercedes.

Regardless of engine or drive system, a 2007 E-Class adds Direct Control, improving steering precision in league with a suspension retuning. The result is crisper turn-in and a general sense of feeling more in contact with the road. Read more on the new 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

So, it seems that the new E-Classe will be a cool fast car, a real competitor to the title on this segment of the market.
