The new Fusion from Ford, is the company’s first fully “digital” car, can be powered by a 16 valve 2.3 L Duratec I-4 coupled to a standard 5-Speed Manual Overdrive Transaxle, or an optional 5-Speed Electronically Controlled Automatic OD Transaxle , or by a 24 valve Duratec V6 that puts out 221 horsepower with a 6-Speed Electronically Controlled Automatic OD Transaxle gearbox.

There are five models available for the 2007 Ford Fusion: the I4 S, I4 SE, I4 SEL, V6 SE and V6 SEL.

But the new Ford Fusion 2007 is not only a powerful fast car, it is also a cool car, with great design and beautiful interior. Depending on the model the options for the instrument panel are great.

All-wheel drive is available on V6 models for the 2007 Fusion from Ford and standard cool features like front-seat side airbags and a side air curtain, as well as an anti-theft perimeter alarm make the difference from the previous 2006 Ford Fusion, were these features were available, but optional and costly.

Ford has announced a hybrid version to be introduced as the 2008 Ford Fusion model.

The Fusion was awarded at the 2007 Boston Auto Show with the “Family Car of the Year” title.
